Jill and I hit the mountains for a weekend alone.
We're treated to a light dusting of snow (which we drove through the night before).

It is nothing, but a bit novel for us.

Today is all about a hike.

The forest floor is covered in leaves and ready to be trampled.

I like this tree. Reminds me of the cartoon, The Snorks.

I'm not sure if this is Tate Elementary or the marble quarry, but that is the Atlanta skyline at the top-right.

After a couple of hours of hiking, we decide to walk back on the roads rather than take the trail.

The roads prove just as twisty as the path.

At the very end, we happen upon two deer

and a turkey. What a hike!
