April 28, 2007 - Atlanta Botanical Gardens

We wake up to a treat, an elusive indigo bunting eats at our feeder.

Off to Atlanta and the Botanical Gardens.

There is a special exhibit of huge wooden bugs. I like mantises.

Jill poses by some dianthus.

Ants marching.

The arid display reminds me of my former home-away-from-home, Tempe, AZ.

An impressive island of pitcher plants!

Birds feed inside the Conservatory.

A mama quail and two of her six chicks.

Jill with orchids at the Fuqua center.

The phallus just to the left of center is a vanilla bean - a rarity for 'captivity.'

Bullfrogs are a cool break from all the flora.
