March 9, 2007 - Scotland, day 1

Our first glimpse of Scotland (bottom left).

Edinburgh, along the shores of the Firth of Forth.
(Yeah, I don't know what that means, but that is pretty much par for the links.)

Typical scenery - a castle on the far island and a lighthouse in the middle.

We arrive at our first night's accomodations - Dalhousie Castle.

Dalhousie dates back to the 1100s.

On the road to the castle, we had to cross a bridge 2.2 meters wide.

A rabbit hops across the Dalhousie grounds.

Edinburgh Castle, overlooking the town.

Back at the Dalhousie Castle, we took a drink by the fire in the Library whilst our table in the dungeon was being prepared.

Down in the dungeon, the clan tartans and sword are displayed.
