January 17, 2007 - Calgary (sales trip)

My eleventh trip to Calgary - but this time not for providing consulting services to Shell-Canada, but for a sales call Parkland Industries, parent company of Fas-Gas and RaceTrac (not the one we know here in the southeast).
The sign asks that you not walk through the planter, not that I have any idea where that was...

The [frozen] Bow River, 'flowing' through downtown Calgary.

Snow on the windmill.

The southern fork of the Bow River, where it splits for the downtown island-park.

I'm enjoying the cold...

A'ight... if this ain't winter, I'm not coming back when it is...

Love the booties!

The less frozen, but much faster-moving northern fork of the Bow River.

Not pictured are ice chunks in the river.
Brr...

You just don't see these signs in Atlanta.

The front of the rental...
