The boys and I took our first camping trip this weekend with John and the scouts to Lake George NY (yes I know I must be crazy).

The boys enjoyed the tours of Fort Ticonderoga and Fort William Henry, although Chris said the guides kept talking too much.

We also took a steamboat ride on Lake George which the boys loved. Tom kept going to see the engine room. They had lots of big brothers to keep an eye on them and be very silly with. (Tom, Chris)

On the way home we took a detour to North Creek where we saw Thomas the Tank Engine on the Upper Hudson River Railway. We did not tell the boys where we were going, only that it was a surprise. They were so excited when they saw that train! It was a very cool and rainy weekend, but they didn’t seem to mind a bit.
